Quality Engineer Galway
On behalf of our client Phillips Careers Solutions Ltd have a requirement for a Quality Engineer NPI. This is a six month contract. Candidates with medical device experience highly desirable.
The main function of the Quality Engineer is to
a) Define, implement and maintain Quality system requirements
b) Manage functions within the Quality department
c) Provide Quality Engineering support to ensure that product conform to requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define, implement and maintain Quality System requirements in the form of Quality Assurance
• Procedures and other related procedures
• Provide reports/information to management on quality related issues and implement solutions to quality related issues
• Participate in cross-functional teams as directed by the Quality Manager
• Participate in internal/external audits as required
• Ensure that product conforms to specification and control further processing, delivery on installation or non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
• Ensure that preventive and corrective actions are taken in relation to product and Quality system deficiencies and initiate, recommend or provide solutions to product and Quality system related problems
• Interface with other departments to ensure that Quality system requirements are adhered to
• Participate in job-related training courses
• Follow all environmental, health & safety rules and procedures and participate in safety and environmental activities in order to improve the workplace for all employees
• Transfer and implement product and processes from development or from another manufacturing facility.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
• Third Level engineering degree within a relevant discipline
• Good working knowledge of Quality System Requirements within the healthcare
• Industry experience (preferably in a quality related role)
• Ability to work well as part of team
• Good communication skills
• Experience of NPI Activity is an advantage
• Previous quality auditor experience or certification is an advantage
